This past weekend, William Joseph Leeth, 34, was involved in a “domestic situation” in Colbert County in which he was charged with Third Degree Domestic Violence. According to witnesses, Leeth didn’t stop his battering with humans. Sources say the Tuscumbia landscaper used a lead pipe to hit a dog several times in the head. Leeth contended the dog had attempted to bite him, but authorities discounted his story after several who observed Leeth’s attack on the dog gave their accounts.
Leeth, known as Will, was taken into custody on Sunday. He has since posted bail and is scheduled to appear in Colbert County District Court. The injured dog is currently recovering.
