Reward Offered in Locksley Shooting

Update: Authorities have announced there’s no new information in the Sunday night shooting of Meiko Locksley. They are now offering a 5K reward for anyone providing pertinent facts about the shooting that took place in front of Locksley’s home.

Meiko Anthony Locksley, 25, was the son of University of Alabama assistant offensive coach Mike Locksley. Late Sunday night, the Maryland man was shot under unknown circumstances in Columbia and died after being taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Meiko was one of four children of Mike and Kia Locksley; he is survived by two brothers and one sister. He attended the University of New Mexico, where he played eight football games in 2011.

Police have refused to reveal any salient details about the shooting that claimed the younger Locksley’s life. Witnesses reported they heard a single gunshot around ten o’clock Sunday night, and a neighbor found Meiko Locksley on the ground bleeding. Police stated there were no suspects as of this morning.
