Evan Lemay was taken into custody on September 9th after he failed to appear on charges of Burglary and Possession of a Controlled Substance. He remains in the Colbert County Jail as of Tuesday.

From July: Relph Evans (Evan) LeMay, 40, has been returned to jail in Colbert County due to the violation of a suspended sentence. PNS will update this article when LeMay’s current charges are adjudicated.

From May 2017: Last September, suspected burglar Ralph Evans LeMay (known as Evan) made local headlines after escaping Colbert County custody while on a medical visit to the Keller ER. At that time, LeMay was also charged with assaulting a police officer. The Sheffield man is still awaiting trial on the laundry list of charges he faces in Colbert.

LeMay, 39, has been free on bail in that incident, but has now been charged in a neighboring county. Late last week, Limestone County authorities charged the North Montgomery Avenue resident of failure to pay child support and remanded him to the Limestone County Detention Center. The charge is a misdemeanor, and it’s unknown how it will affect his bond status in Colbert.
