Update: Jason Green has filed paperwork asking for a new trial. The former Russellville junk dealer is claiming his defense attorney Billy Underwood did not properly prepare him for the plea deal he accepted. Green also has a criminal history of theft unrelated to the manslaughter conviction for which he’s serving time in the death of his girlfriend.

Jason Dewayne Green, aka Jason Dewane Green, convicted in Franklin County of manslaughter in the shooting death of girlfriend Shay Ledlow, is currently serving his sentence in the Limestone Correctional Facility at Capshaw as a medium security prisoner.

His minimum release date is November 3, 2032. The 40 year old Green will be eligible for a parole hearing in April 2020; he is accruing no Correctional Incentive Time.
