Prison Spotlight: Candace Carol Irons

Update: Candace Irons has been returned to the Alabama Prison System to serve her 8 year 8 month sentence. She’s currently housed in Lauderdale Community Corrections with a tentative release date (counting good time) of February 8, 2018.

Candace Carol Irons, 51, has been arrested in Colbert County. Irons, who was part of what became known as the “Heroin 22” during a massive drug sting four years ago, was taken into custody on charges of drug possession and failure to appear. The Florence woman remains on probation in Lauderdale County for her previous drug trafficking conviction and will also have to face a Lauderdale judge for violation of the terms of her release in that county. Irons remains in the Colbert County Jail as of Friday morning.
