Mr. Neler Keeton Obituary

Neler Keeton, 87, passed away on Aug. 20, 2017, at his residence. He attended the Methodist church and was a member of Ironworkers Local 477. He was the owner of Zip City Bait Shop.

Visitation will be at Greenview Funeral Home today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017, at 1 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Bobby Rich and Dennis Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Roger’s Chapel Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Wilson; parents, Herschel and Effie Keeton; brothers, Bobby, Junior, and Billy; sisters, Emma and Earline; and grandson, Chuck Neal May.

Survivors include his daughters, Sandra Gray (Ray), Donna Cockburn, Cathy May (Charles), Julie Rich (Bobby), and Tina Hunt; ten grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of other family members and friends.

Serving as active pallbearers will be J.R. Fulks, Butch Garner, Glen Wilson, Tommy Pruitt, Paul Kelley, and Neal Hunt. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be E.R. Pruitt, Jimmy Waddell, Carmen Ray, Randy Williams, Ray Butler, and Steve Gifford.
