Leoma Teen Kills Girlfriend & Their Unborn Child

According to law enforcement reports, a pregnant teenager was shot in Pulaski on Monday, she was taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center in critical condition. But despite emergency procedures, the baby died. The teen victim has died overnight as a result of her injuries.

The teen was identified as 16-year-old LHS student Samantha “Stormy” Carter. She was shot at least one time around 7 p.m., according to Chief John Dickey with the Pulaski Police Department.

Carter was hospitalized in critical condition but she and her child did not survive. Carter was 22 weeks pregnant with a baby girl. She planned to name her Scarlett Danielle. 16 year old Samantha Carter was on her way to becoming a new mother but neither she nor her baby survived what happened in the hotel room.

Police say her boyfriend, 18 year old Colton Perryman shot Carter on Monday evening leaving her for dead in the room they shared together.

The two teens had been living there since late August when a house fire forced them out of their home.

According to authorities, Colton Perryman of Leoma, has since been arrested on charges of second-degree murder for the soon-to-be-mother and second-degree murder for the unborn child.

No other details have been released as to why Perryman did what he did.
