Update: Dennis Ray Mullins Jr. has been sentenced to three years in the state prison system, five years on probation, and ordered to pay a 25K fine.

From August: Dennis R. Mullins Jr. has had a most memorable year. In March, he married his long-time girlfriend. Now he’s been arrested for trafficking in marijuana. Authorities say the Tennessee native was running a business selling high quality pot from his Judson Road home in the Underwood community just north of Florence.

When taken into custody, Mullins was in possession of almost 9K dollars and several implements used to measure and package marijuana. The 27 year old is accused of ordering 20 pounds of marijuana from Colorado. Under Alabama Code, that amount constitutes trafficking and is punishable by three years in the state prison system if convicted. The Alcorn Central High grad bonded out of the Lauderdale County Detention Center after posting 29K bail.
