The Huntsville Ballet Company takes the stage of the Von Braun Center Concert Hall on April, 7th and 8th with performances of Cinderella, one of the world’s most beautiful and popular stories of all time.

The ballet tells the age old story of Cinderella  with all the majesty that can be shown on stage using newly designed costumes and sets with magical special effects to enhance this enchanting, timeless, fairy tale set to Prokoviev’s famous score. Cinderella will sweep you off your feet.

Phillip Otto, the Artistic Director, chose the ballet because of its enchanting and romantic appeal to both young and old. It is also a personal favorite, because he and his wife, Huntsville Ballet School Director, Rachel Butler have both danced in the ballet throughout their careers. Mr. Otto, who began dance at an early age started his history with Cinderella as a child in performances with the Bolshoi Ballet and the Royal Ballet.

The cast of characters and the beloved story will delight both young and old. Principal dancers Madison Lynn and Phillip Nathaniel Otto will dance the roles of Cinderella and Prince Charming. These two dancers began their training at Huntsville Ballet School and now have reached the professional level with the company.

The role of Cinderella is a coveted one in the ballet world and demands high levels of theatrical and technical skills. The Huntsville Ballet Company’s performances, featuring over 80 dancers, is choreographed by Company Artistic Director, Phillip Otto who is celebrating ten years with Huntsville Ballet.  Cinderella runs for three performances only April 7th and 8th at the Mark C. Smith Concert Hall of the Von Braun Center.

Children who arrive an hour before the show will be treated to a special meet and greet with Cinderella and have picture making opportunities with her!
