From Calhoun:

Calhoun announces the return of Fast Track Academy for high school students graduating this spring who would like to get a head start on their classes this fall. This program has been designed to provide students who plan to attend Calhoun in the fall with resources to prepare them for college coursework.  These include specialized instruction in Math and English, one-on-one advising, college orientation and career counseling.  What’s even more exciting is that students will be able to earn free college credit.

Last year, we started with 357 students. Of those, a staggering 307 STUDENTS completed the academy for an 86% completion rate! Last year’s Fast Track Academy saved students an average of 3.08 credit hours and $455.57 per student!

Any high school student graduating this spring with plans to attend Calhoun in the 2017 fall semester and meeting the following criteria is eligible to enroll in the Fast Track Academy:

  • Scoring 20 or below on the Math section of the ACT

  • Scoring 18 or below on the English section of the ACT or

  • Scoring 20 or below on the Reading section of the ACT
