Franklin County recently added Erica Nicole Wright, 31, to its Most Wanted list. Wright joins Christen Granada Reeves, 32, who has been on the list for several months. While these women have been placed on the list for different crimes, it was a single assault that led to their current situation.
Wright, who lived at 2166 Belview Road, Lot 14, near Regency Square Mall, and Reeves, who lived at 216 South Broadway Avenue in East Florence, were friends. In 2011, the women had accumulated some minor alcohol related arrests, but hadn’t yet entered the felony category. That changed on Saturday March 5th.
One of the two women had been involved in an ongoing dispute with a Russellville resident. That afternoon, Wright and Reeves drove to Franklin County to confront the woman, taking along a ball-peen hammer. These tools are usually small and easily handled by a person of small stature; they can also do some damage when applied to a victim’s skull.
Russellville Police have stated the two women traveled to the Norton Avenue home of their victim and hit her twice in the head. At around three o’clock, the 29 year old victim managed to call 911 and was taken to hospital and treated for serious, but non-life threatening wounds. Police were advised of the car the two Florence women were driving and found them a short time later near Eastside Park.
On Monday March 7th, Wright and Reeves posted 7.5K bail and returned to Florence. They were later indicted for Second Degree Assault. Since that time both women have continued to rack up several alcohol and other more minor charges in both Lauderdale and Colbert Counties. Franklin County and Russellville Police would both like to see the women returned for violations of their releases.
Complete profiles of the two women are in our Most Wanted section. There is a reward for both women and they may be together. They may be dangerous, and we can be sure they need to be off the streets to get the proper help for their addictions.
